According to UNICEF, conflicts and violence between the military and the Rapid Support Forces in Sudan led to the displacement of not less than 6 million people from their homes, more than half of them are children, during 2023.

Each year on 4th June, the United Nations celebrates the International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression, which was established on 19th August 1982, shedding the light for the first time on Lebanon war victims who fell in the same year.

Children are caught in the crossfire of wars, facing double risks of murder and sexual abuse, as well as deprivation from their basic needs. The following infographic monitors how the conflict between the Rapid support Forces and Sudan military, which started on 14th April 2023, increased the Sudanese children’s sufferings to extreme levels, compared to lower numbers witnessed by the world’s children in previous years.
