The Development Officer is responsible for all fundraising activities of the organization, developing new partnerships and managing the current ones. As a member of the senior management team, the Development Officer participates in strategic planning and budgeting initiatives in addition to problem solving.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate in developing organizational strategy and project in collaboration with the MD and the Executive director.
- Develop and refine ideas into fundable, implementable projects.
- Research funding opportunities for Bashkatib projects & operating costs.
- Develop and manage timelines for fundraising and reporting.
- Identify and develop prospects for creating revenue.
- Remain current on all legislation and ethical practices of Bashkaitb’s work.
- prepare narrative and financial reports to the donors and sponsors.
- Assist in designing special projects to create revenue streams.
Job Qualifications:
- At least 4 years of experience in a relevant position.
- A good knowledge of the development and media sector ecosystem in Egypt.
- Excellent command of English and Arabic is required and French is desired.
