 As a member of the senior management team, the ​​Business Development Officer participates in the strategic planning and budgeting in addition to providing recommendations for the business development and problem solving.

The Development Officer is responsible for all fundraising activities of the organization, developing new partnerships and managing the current ones. As a member of the senior management team, the Development Officer participates in strategic planning and budgeting initiatives in addition to problem solving.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in developing organizational strategy and project in collaboration with the MD and the Executive director.
  • Develop and refine ideas into fundable, implementable projects.
  • Research funding opportunities for Bashkatib projects & operating costs.
  • Develop and manage timelines for fundraising and reporting.
  • Identify and develop prospects for creating revenue.
  • Remain current on all legislation and ethical practices of Bashkaitb’s work.
  • prepare narrative and financial reports to the donors and sponsors.
  • Assist in designing special projects to create revenue streams.

Job Qualifications:

  • At least 4 years of experience in a relevant position.
  • A good knowledge of the development and media sector ecosystem in Egypt.
  • Excellent command of English and Arabic is required and French is desired.
